EJ Crashbox

Hi all,
After viewing this forum for years, I have come to ask a question. I have just purchased a second 3 speed gearbox for my EJ to rebuild. Upon pulling it apart, I have found that the lay shaft is the .675” size. However, when buying a kit for it, it seems that size was only for the 149 motors. it also has thrust washers. Can anyone advise as to whether or not I am reading into this too much or is something wrong. (mismatch of parts)
