What do people do with regards spare tyres for utes? The mags I have certainly dont fit in the space provided and I couldnt even get the spare hr 13 inch in with the 185 on it unless I deflate the tyre?

I have xu1 calipers on the front so need minimum hr ......
Isn't the hr with a 185 80 13 a normal tyre size?
I dont really want to go back to a crossply.....

Depending on your minimum wheel diametre requirements for brakes, you can get a 15" x 4" steel rim made to suit. Then a 165 x 15" tyre with profile to suit, particularly if running an LSD. (Rolling diametre must be the same across rear tyres with an LSD).

Thanks John What do you have in your 327 ute?
I noticed in a picture of Ted's red ute the tyre looked like a crossply?

In all of my modified utes I have just carried "tyre in a can" so to speak
On our trip to Mt Gambier from Bathurst I meant to throw a spare in the back but didn't have room...I made the fatal mistake of telling a women she could "pack whatever she wants, we have a ute"

That pic is from my stocker ute, not the red modified one, still running drums on the front of the old PMG stocker
