Anyone going to Cooly Rocks this year?
I am coming over the ditch for a look, hope to see some nice EJ and EH's.

I am also looking into fitting an Ecotec in my EJ, so am keen to see any already converted. I know it is not the most popular conversion and it costs a similar amount as a V8 conversion. But I have a spare supercharged engine doing nothing in my garage. Either it will go in my VS Ute or my EJ. either way I will still have 3 spare ecotecs sitting in the garage, so I want to re-power the EJ with one of them.

I havent missed once since wintersun became Coolys, But im boycotting this year due to a 400% increase in site fees.
usually 40 bucks a site sold out in a matter of hours, early bird this year was over $250 bucks and its still not sold out weeks after going on sale,
i get that it may have been losing money but seriously? i believe the council and a full on events company have got involved this year
killed off yet another festival at tweed heads due to greed.
wont see me there

That's a shame ... I'm sure the events company will be raking in the money. Anyway it will be my first time at Cooly, so I don't have any history to compare it to.
I'm just planning to enjoy the cars and atmosphere of the festival and hopefully see any J's or H's if any are there. We will be on the Gold Coast for about three weeks.
It's been a while since I have been on this EJ EH Forum, glad to see people are still using it.

If your just going to look its fine as its free to wander around and check out the cars,
for me though i just couldnt swallow the increase from 80 bucks for 2 sites to around 500 bucks, add to that the 800 bucks for 3 night accomodation and its an expensive weekend

not many people use this forum anymore i think most use facebook. i just pop in a few times a month from habit
