Finally on and tuned , just have to decide on single air filters or engineer my own multi air box .. im thinking the latter & before any one points it out .. yes the fuel line has been re-run away from the headers.

I'm a bit late on this thread, but with regards to oil it's not hard to get mislead with SUs. The dampener plungers themselves wear over time so it's worth Checking these too and replacements aren't expensive. The oil is like an accelerator pump to an extent - it controls the transition period. When you open the throttle, the spring weights determine the rate at which the piston can rise. The oil determines that rate at which it falls. Thicker oil is like a bigger pump. Too thick creates a flat spot. You should try to go for as thick as the engine will allow for max performance. On a street car try the 4.5oz springs (red) and say 20 grade fork oil.

Hi , after i finally got the manifold sorted I started with AO7 and stayed with it .. car idles , runs and exhaust outlet has a nice straw colour to it .. maybe a touch on the dark side but for a home tune im happy with it.

I use singer sewing machine oil in the dampers and seem to be happy as well , i rebushed and kitted the carbs so they all balance nicely.
