First coat applied, I can see a few defects, deep scratches that will need to be filled, but I. Guess I can rub back with 1200 and see what the next coat comes up like.
Panel work not bad for a beginner

Sure does, but it’s still green, where is Claye summers? He was an avid reader!

Upper tailgate work today, cutting sections out and fitting new steel. It’s coming up ok, but overall the tailgate was fairly cactus to start with, it will have a fit of placky in it as well.

The large rear quarters look beautiful in the green - well done.

G’day spag,
Looking very nice. Saltbush Green sounds right. Nice colour which seemed to come out on the EJ - EH.

Been having trouble accessing this forum via Tapatalk which is my preferred method.

You’re painting with Tupac? I thought you couldn’t sand that, or is it that you just can’t buff, hence final coat is always off the gun?

Cheers
Clay

Paint looks great Spag. Looks like you got some work with the tailgate but, you can do it! Good luck mate.

Thanks guys, I blocked back first coat today in Preparation for final flow coats. Also have commenced work on upper tailgate and have ordered a lower fibreglass tailgate to see how it goes, if all good should have final paint completed in a couple of weeks. Starting to think about running the commodore wiring harness and fitting up vintage air heater aircond unit, as parts of under dash modifications
